Leigh was raised and currently lives in the Carpinteria Valley.After years of working in interior design, raising her three daughters Rose, Natasha and Liliana, and working on her family’s ranch she recently began painting.She enjoys working with oils and takes pleasure in creating plein air landscapes.Leigh wants to evoke the feelings for the generations to come that her grandparents and great grandparents must have experienced while working on their farms in the Carpinteria valleys and foothills a hundred years ago.Leigh is also inspired by the colorful palate of her everyday surroundings as well as the members of the Oak Group, including Arturo Tello, Meredith and Whitney Abbott. Leigh attended the UCSB design program and also owns a local design shop, The Princess & The Pea.She is a member of SCAPE, Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment.She is on the board as well as exhibit chair coordinating their art shows.Leigh is also a member of the CVAC, Carpinteria Valley Arts Council. She has been involved in many local exhibits including the Santa Barbara History Museum Art Show and the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden Art Show.She has also participated in the Phoenix Art Show, the La Arcada Show benefiting the Environment Defense Fund.Leigh is exhibited at The Gallery 855 in Carpinteria and her work can also be seen at Carpinteria Art and Frame and The Princess & The Pea.
